Suffering from a past full of tragedy, Dahlia London’s soul has been left completely shattered. Happily ever after is a far cry from reality in her world. But, when she is reconnected with her past, the bonds that form are irrefutable.
Struggling with confusion as old connections fade and new ones begin, Dahlia’s grief begins to lift — but guilt remains. River wants to be the one to mend all that is torn within her.
This book brought me to my knees with sadness. I truly felt for Dhalia like I have never felt for a book character before! Her reality is not pretty to begin with and she goes through even more trials as the book goes on. Then there is that “once in a lifetime” that she has on a chance night. You truly get the feel for what she is feeling and going through and you ache for her and her heart.
This book is well written and flows very well. It even has a playlist at the beginning of the book so that you can just imagine her feelings throughout her times. The characters in this book are well written. There are even well hidden facts that arise towards the end! The wait for the next book is going to be tough!! I MUST find out what happens to her and how she will react!!
I give this book 4.5 stars!! Thank you Kim Karr for erupting some emotions not felt in books before! Connecting is a beautiful story that everyone must read!! ~ Debi S.
