I expected a life of music.
I expected to raise my son.
It took one look to make everything change.
I never expected happiness.
I never expected to find her.
I never expected to feel desire.
I never expected I’d be a family man.
I never expected to be loved.
I never expected to fall in love.
They say you should expect the unexpected, I didn’t realize my unexpected would be the forever kind.
Book #2 in the Beaumont Series is incredible. I loved My Forever Girl and was so smitten by Liam and Josie. Well let me tell you that Harrison James and Katelyn Powell do not disappoint! I am so in love with this series!
It’s been one year since Katelyn Powell lost her high school sweet heart to a tragic accident. And one year of just barely making it through day to day. Her twin daughters are having a hard time coping and she is hanging by a thread with her job as the manager of 4225 West.
Harrison James, drummer for 4225 West, has moved to Beaumont to be near to his fellow band mate, Liam Page and to give his son Quinn a chance at a normal life. He’s not your typical rocker type. He puts his son as his #1 priority, leaving his love life in the distance.
So when Harrison starts to have feelings for Katelyn, he really doesn’t know how to proceed. He knows that Katelyn is skittish about dating again. Plus Harrison doesn’t really fit her “type” of guy. But there is an electricity that passes between the two of them that he can’t deny.
I don’t want to give the story away – because it is so good, you really need to take the journey yourself. Just know that #1- You get plenty of the whole gang in this book, which I LOVED! #2 – Harrison is just…swoon. #3 – the kids will melt your heart. #4 – Well written and sucks you in. Just what a great book is suppose to do. #5 – No cliffhangers and a HEA.
I love Heidi and her writing. She will take you on an adventure that you will want to go on over and over again. I HIGHLY recommend this whole series!
My grandma once told me that I can do anything I want, so I am.
Originally from the Pacific Northwest, I now live in picturesque Vermont, with my husband and two daughters. Also renting space in our home is an over hyper Beagle/Jack Russell and two Parakeets.
During the day you’ll find me behind a desk talking about Land Use. At night, I’m writing one of the many stories I plan to release or sitting courtside during either daughter’s basketball games.
I’m also an active reviewer on The Readiacs – a site I own with my best friend and uber special beta, Yvette.
