If Forever Comes, the final chapter in the New York Times Bestselling Regret Series (Lost to Youand Take This Regret).
Christian Davison’s life is complete. With a ring on Elizabeth’s finger and his daughter at his side, he’s ready to run headlong into their future.
Elizabeth Ayers never believed she would again find this kind of joy—the joy of a family and the wholeness found in the touch of the man she’s always loved.
Their love is intense and their passion only grows as they set out to rediscover each other.
But life is never easy.
Rocked by the unforeseen, Christian and Elizabeth will find themselves fighting for the one thing they hold most important—family.
Where do I even begin with this book or even with this series! I read all three books in a row. I didn’t know what to expect going into reading them and I am kinda glad that I didn’t. I mean I didn’t look at the synopsis, I hadn’t talked to anyone about the series. Only thing I knew going in, was that it was written by A.L. Jackson and I loved her and some of her other books. If I had known, I don’t know if I would have given the books a try. I am so glad though that I read them.
I am going to start off by saying this is not a happy, sappy romance of a book(s). Not to say there are not moments, but this book is RAW. I sat with tears in my eyes for a large amount of the read. I had to take breaks. I had to walk away because the pain from both Elizabeth and Christian was so real to me. I didn’t know if I could finish it at one point. It was palpable. At points it was a little too real for me. I understood their pain and their love and their need for each other. I had to call a friend just to talk it out with her (she probably thought I was a little crazy – since at first she thought I was talking about friends of mine, not a book) LOL. I don’t know…it just grabbed me and took hold of me and in the end I was so glad to have taken that journey with them.
The story is about those missed moments, assumptions, regrets, tragedy, pain, pure love, forgiveness, freedom and redemption. I am so in love with A.L. Jackson right now! The books are eloquently written, amazingly organic. If you love an angst filled read, then this is the series and book for you! 5 AMAZING STARS!
A.L. Jackson is the New York Times bestselling author of Take This Regretand Lost to You, as well as other contemporary romance titles, including Pulledand When We Collide.
She first found a love for writing during her days as a young mother and college student. She filled the journals she carried with short stories and poems used as an emotional outlet for the difficulties and joys she found in day-to-day life.
Years later, she shared a short story she’d been working on with her two closest friends and, with their encouragement, this story became her first full length novel. A.L. now spends her days writing in Southern Arizona where she lives with her husband and three children. Her favorite pastime is spending time with the ones she loves.
