BLOG TOUR: Come to Me Quietly by A.L. Jackson

From the acclaimed bestselling author of Lost to You and When We Collide comes a new adult novel of one woman’s obsession: a man who’s as passionate as he is elusive—and as tempting as he is trouble…

Aleena Moore is haunted by Jared Holt. It’s been six years since she’s seen her brother’s best friend, the self-destructive bad boy she secretly loved in high school. As the years pass, she knows it’s time to move on. Time to decide between a practical nursing degree and her true dream as an artist. Time to get over Jared and give another guy a chance…
Just when she opens her heart to her friend Gabe, Aly returns home to find Jared sleeping on her couch. The teenage boy she loved has grown into a man she can’t resist. Covered in tattoos and lost in rage, he’s begging to be saved from his demons—the memories of the day he destroyed his family. As the two reconnect, their passion is hot enough to torch Aly’s judgment. But can she risk her future for a man who lives on the edge of destruction?

This book you want to hang on every word and never let go. Come to Me Quitely is the story of Aly and Jared, childhood friends. Jared has been gone from home for 6 years and a lot has changed in that time. The biggest change is his best friend’s little sister, Aly. Aly is 20 now and she has always had this connection with Jared. So when he rolls into town, carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders, Aly wants to be the one to help him.

Amy knows how to write heartache, pain, real raw emotions. She makes the emotions of her characters so palpable. You live every laugh, sigh, cry, gut wrenching pain and broken heart. Have a box of kleenex near by because this book will pull you in each and every direction. I loved the flash backs to their childhood and their connection is painted in front of you.

I love books that when you read, you loose all reference of time. You are invested in the story that everything else falls by the wayside. (Ask my husband how many times I washed the same load of laundry). Amy’s books do just that to me. And this one does not disappoint. FIVE STARS!
