As the months pass, secrets her husband managed to bury are unearthed and she wonders if she ever truly knew him. As the truth continues to come to light, Derek’s business partner and Charlotte’s friend, Gregory Swift, steps in to help her deal with the repercussions of her husband’s betrayal.
Seasons come and go, and, as Charlotte begins to return to life, she realizes that she is much stronger than she believed. And while a pain this deep can never be forgotten, Charlotte learns there is room for joy in the future as the wounds heal. Even a winter of sorrow can eventually warm into a summer of sweetness.
This book took me through a range of emotions. Although at times we get a peak of CC humor that we love, this is a very dramatic, emotion filled read that will leave you with a good cry or two.
What if you woke up one day and your entire life was taken from you. That’s exactly what happened to Charlotte. After 8 years of marriage Charlotte and Derek have their perfect baby boy. Her perfect world turns into a nightmare when he goes to wake up Adam only to see he is not breathing. And what hurts just as much or more, it that her husband doesn’t seem to care. As lies and deceit start to come into a clear vision, Charlotte is faced with the hard reality that her life has been a lie. And when her best friends seem to have known this whole time, Charlotte’s depression and anger come to the front.
This is was an amazing book on forgiveness, self-discovery, redemption and love. This is absolutely a shining star in CC’s library of work and she grows with each and every book she releases. 5 Stars!~
